In time, CAD/RP will move to the background, and the polemic, so dependent on antiquated modernist verities, will become unnecessary. More jewelers will have the confidence to harness the tool to good ideas, not just extravagant forms. RP will be perceived as just one resource among many, and we will see composite structures: RP and found objects, say, or RP and textiles. The technology will reach maturity when we see jewelry that fully exploits CAD/RP -- and nobody cares how it was made.
