Sarah Straussberg : Jeweller, Graduate Collection

I first met Sarah at the most recent New Designers, I was instantly drawn to her work, hidden away in a corner of Brighton University’s stand, her work stood alone in its maturity and quality, but why?
The most obvious answer is the simplicity of her work. The way she uses line and shape to a great effect, her work becomes sculptural and intriguing, add to that her use of colour and texture meaning each piece has a life of its own.
She brings her knowledge of shape and form from her previous work, and uses its beautifully in the jewellery she creates. However she trained as an applied artist, and she forms un-expected sculpture, illustrations and photography, as well being a “jewellery maker”. After graduating she now creates bespoke jewellery in London.

Straussberg’s jewellery comprises of Sterling Silver using 18ct Gold vermeil. Some pieces include black resin, creating a sealed form, complimenting the brushed matt surface of the Gold.
We love her work and a some of her pieces are now available to buy on F7’s shop!!
